A deep ruby color as well as scents of plums, raspberries, cherries, and pepper are found in this medium to full-bodied, glycerin-filled 2003. Although there is not much depth, it is a superficial, charming, fleshy Chateauneuf that begs to be drunk over the next 5-8 years. No known American importer.

With vines in Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Cotes-du-Rhone, the Chouvet family has 103 acres, with vinification being the charge of Helene Chouvet. This is a ripe, juicy, fruity, relatively soft style of wine, with some new wood, that only hints at the tannins and the earthy flavors that are beneath the surface.
