A typical 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape, proprietor Chouvet has produced a dark ruby/purple-colored, fruit-driven wine with an unctuous texture, superb purity and ripeness, an element of jamminess, low acidity, and a fleshy, succulent, full-bodied richness and texture. It should drink well young yet keep for 10-12 years. No known American importer.
