The Castello di Albola 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva reveals an earthy bouquet with genuine aromas of forest berry, button mushroom and crushed flower. There is limestone and spice at the back that gives more density and layering to this mid-weight Tuscan red. It ages in a combination of French and Slavonian oak for 14 months.

This burly red is marked by macerated plum, leather and earth flavors. Muscular tannins dominate the finish, but they aren't overly astringent or out of balance. Best from 2025 through 2040. 6,667 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Chianti Classico Select to Add
