The 1994 Chianti Classico Riserva is an ambitiously-styled wine, with lots of wood, tannin, and body. This is a good wine, and perhaps more intensity will emerge as the wine evolves in the bottle, but for now, it appears to be a more intellectually-oriented Chianti designed for those who prefer to talk about wine, rather than drink it.
