The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Sous Roche Dumay has a bullish nose, cold granite and limestone aromas to the fore, then later a cheeky dab of orange sorbet and tinned pineapple. The palate is very well balanced with citrus peel, fresh pear and a hint of ginger. There is a pleasant weight here in the mouth, a little shrillness perhaps, though that should dissipate with time in the bottle. There is good persistence here, a very fine Saint Aubin.
