The 2007 Nebbiolo Martinenga is absolutely gorgeous in its perfumed red fruits, flowers and spices. The Nebbiolo is made from the same Martinenga hillside that supplies the fruit for the estate’s Barbarescos; and it captures the essence of those wines in a more delicate style. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015. Marchesi di Gresy gets a lot of attention for their Barbarescos, and rightly so, but the entry-level wines are made with just as much care as the higher-end bottlings.
