The 2014 Ladoix 1er Cru La Corvée, matured in around 50% new oak, has a well defined, slightly gamey bouquet with plenty of crisp ripe red berry fruit underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, good depth if not quite possessing the disarming charm of the Joyeuse. Still, this is a well crafted Ladoix that should age nicely.
