The 1999 Vin Santo, with its 200 grams of residual sugar, is a little weightier than normal. A blend of two-thirds Malvasia and one-third Trebbiano, it offers generous notes of spices, roasted nuts and candied, ethereal fruit. Made in a full-bodied, unctuous style, it should drink well for another decade. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2017.Various American importers including: Petit Pois, Merion, PA; tel.
