Drouhin's 1992s are similar in style to the excellent 1989s. The wines are fat, ripe, tasty, and ideal for drinking over the near term because of their low acidity and their fleshy, open-knit style. The 1992 Puligny-Montrachet-Les Folatieres is nearly outstanding, with a formidable, buttery, spicy, rich nose, full body, surprising power for a Drouhin white wine, and an unctuous, layered, lusty finish. It may merit an outstanding rating with another 6 months of bottle age. It should drink well for at least 5-6 years. Importer: Dreyfus Ashby, New York, NY.
