One of the most serious and traditional producers of Brunello di Montalcino, Costanti's 1991 Rosso is a noteworthy success from a mediocre year. It exhibits an attractive garnet/ruby color, sweet, cedary, roasted nut and curranty fruit, some earthy, leathery, spicy notes, medium to full body, low acidity, and a supple, fleshy texture. It should drink well for the next 5-7 years. Importer: Empson USA, Alexandria, VA.
