Laroche vinified and aged his 1997 Chablis Blanchots in both foudres and barrels. Its nose exhibits fabulous ripeness of fruit, and its palate is velvety-textured, dense, and thick. Minerals, hazelnuts, white flowers, and hints of peanut oil are found in this intensely flavored and persistent wine. Projected maturity: 2001-2006.
