Tasted in December 2017, Theresa Breuer's 2015 Rheingau Riesling "Terra Montosa" offers a clear and rich nose with ripe Riesling flavors intermixed with mineral notes. Round and mouthfilling but also light, fresh and mineral, with a good structure and nice grip in the finish, this is a stimulating dry Riesling that assembles the fruit from Breuer's steep top vineyards in Rüdesheim and Rauenthal or, in terms of soil, slate with clayey gravel and slate. Bottled with 11.5% alcohol, this is a formidable wine for lunch and is slowly starting to get mature, at least aromatically.
