The 2002 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard Carneros was excellent last year, but is outstanding out of bottle. Deep ruby with some purple nuances, the sweet nose of plums, figs, dark raspberries, and ripe cherries jumps from the glass. In the mouth it is medium to full-bodied with good acidity, some subtle oak, and a long, forest floor taste in the finish. This is a full, authoritative and powerful wine.
