The 2011 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria is a single-vineyard expression that exhibits the super-bold house style that distinguishes most of Tedeschi's wines. This Valpolicella is especially interesting because, unlike other wines of the appellation, it is made with late harvest fruit picked some 500 meters above sea level where night temperatures drop considerably. It shows both sweetness and fresh acidity, all wrapped tightly together. The blend is 35% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella and the rest is Oseleta.

A savory version, with peat smoke, cured tobacco and olive notes up front, layered with more subtle accents of dried cranberry and fig bread.
