The 2006 Pinot Noir Calkins Lane Vineyard is dark ruby-colored with a fragrant bouquet of spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry. It is more structured than the preceding wines and may well evolve for 3-4 years. Drink it from 2012 to 2020. Adelsheim Vineyard, founded in 1971, continues to be a benchmark winery under the stewardship of David Adelsheim. The winery makes a full range of excellent white wines offered at very fair prices but the focus remains Pinot Noir.
