This wine has a ruby/amber color, and a seductive, velvety, black cherry fruitiness interlaced with smells of vanillin oakiness, leather, and decaying leaves. The tannin is obvious and harsh. The Beaune Les Greves is open-knit and has a strong alcoholic finish. It should be ready by 1990.
