The 2000 Chianti Classico Riserva is more advanced than the 2001. It displays a profile of leather, earthiness, and truffles that complement its brighter, fresher dark red fruit and sweet toasted oak flavors, with good length on the palate, and slightly coarser tannins than the 2001.
