The 2006 Barolo Fossati presents a gorgeous, floral bouquet that resonates on the palate where red La Morra fruit blossoms with gorgeous purity. This is a deceptively mid-weight offering, yet the Fossati possesses plenty of concentration, superb clarity and tons of texture. It is a wonderful effort from Enzo Boglietti. Baked aroma of strawberry jam, dark fruit, spice, earth and smoke. Balanced with sweet tannins and several layers. It is rich, supple and a bit soupy now. Alc: 14%.

The Barolo Fossati from La Morra opens with huge intensity and determined aromas of black cherry, tobacco, licorice, mesquite wood and crushed mineral. What really sets this wine apart is the immediacy and confident delivery of its aromas.
