The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford is blended of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose opens to raisin cake, crème de cassis and dried herbs with notions of Chinese five spice, incense and menthol. The palate is full-bodied, rich and spicy with a firm, grainy frame, finishing just a tad hard.
