Another vibrant expression of the native Friulano variety, the 2016 Friuli Isonzo Friulano La Vila is luminous and transparent, just an all-around beautiful wine. It opens to a harmony of Golden Delicious apple and pear, a creamy mouthfeel and medium structure that concludes with salty minerality. Pair it with any poultry dish or even a veal schnitzel. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels on the lees for 11 months. Some 13,000 bottles were produced.
