(all new oak, 85% of it American): Bright purple. Powerful, oak-spiced aromas of blueberry, blackberry, violet and woodsmoke. Displays deeply pitched flavors of smoky dark berries, olive and candied flowers, with a jolt of cracked pepper adding vibrancy. Seductive right now but dusty tannins suggest that this wine will reward patience. An admirably long finish repeats the smoke and floral notes.
