Good full ruby. Varietally accurate shiraz aromas of dark berries, gunflint, mocha and chocolate. Sweet, fat and rich, with compelling flavors of dark berries, minerals and gunflint. Showed more primary crushed black raspberry with aeration. For a wine with this much sweetness, there's also very good underlying backbone. Generous, ripely tannic and very long on the aftertaste. And not at all overwhelmed by the used American oak barrels. A major mouthful of wine for the price. (Epicurean Wines, Seattle WA
