The 2004 Reserva Branco is a blend of Portuguese varietals, Roupeiro, Arinto and Antao Vaz. The blend probably does not matter much since American oak and the fairly heavy vanilla notes dominate the wine. It could be most anything. Once past that turnoff, this is a rather pleasant, well done wine that shows well for its price range. If you are more tolerant of American oak, you may like it better. Perhaps a few months more in the cellar will help it out. Drink now-2009. Influential Australian winemaker David Baverstock has been the winemaker here for some years now.Importers: Aidil Wines & Liquors, a division of Olde World Imports, Inc., Rahway, NJ; tel.
