There is depth and richness in the flower-scented 2003 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Himmelreich. According to a well-informed collector with whom I spoke, this is undoubtedly due to a spring near Weins-Prum’s parcel that must have assisted the vines in this drought year. Its seamless personality is filled with minerals, pears, apples, teas and linden. This wine will merit a higher score if time fills-out the slightly short finish. Drink it between 2006 and 2013.
