The 2009 Fiagre (70% Fiano, 30% Greco) is the most successful of the 2009 whites. Typical Fiano notes of earthiness and bacon fat dominate the aromatics. The wine turns more mineral in the glass as the Greco flavor profile emerges over time. Sweet flowers and mint add the final layers of complexity. This bold white is best paired with similarly rich cuisines. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2014.
