The full-bodied 2018 Saint Joseph Silice Blanc is 100% Marsanne, fermented and aged briefly in concrete before being bottled in February 2019. It's broad and creamy on the palate, yet it's spicy, with honeyed melon, pineapple and pear flavors dusted with white pepper and a bit of lime zest on the finish. Tasted twice (once blind), with the wine seeming tighter and more structured on one occasion, plusher and softer on the other.
