The 2012 Parcela No 5 is pure Tempranillo from a specific plot of vines planted in 1946; the wine matured in 60/40 American and French oak barrels for 14 months. It showed a combination of dark chocolate and ripe cherries that made it quite attractive in a commercial way. Unfortunately, the palate starts showing an excess of oak that seems to be increasing with the price in other wines, and makes this one a little drying. 18,000 bottles.
