David cropped the 2013 Beaune Pertuisots at 7hl/ha because of hail (he just raised his hands and sighed when I inquired what percentage that represented.) Still, what survived offers quite a precocious bouquet with vibrant strawberry, maraschino cherry and orange sorbet scents that leap from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine level of acidity, a little broody at the moment but there is good weight on the finish. This could turn out to be one of the domaine's best 2013s.
