The 2011 Reserve Chardonnay is savory, spicy and totally complex through the finish—the fruit is grilled, flambéed and toasted, while the saline acidity threads through it at every juncture. At no point does the fruit fall away during the unfurling finish, showing it has quite a few years to go prior to the wine fully evolving into middle age.
