The 2001 Syrah Thompson Vineyard reveals a saturated ruby/purple color in addition to layered flavors of black fruits intermixed with earth, licorice, and smoke presented in a long, pure, concentrated style. Closed, firmly knit, and tightly structured, it requires another 1-2 years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2013.
