The 2010 Unnum is a young, modern wine aged for a short period of time in mostly new French oak barrels. At the moment the wine is quite muted, it seems to have the stuffing to develop much, but it’s a bit clipped in the middle palate. It has good balance, but right now this is a big question mark for me. Wait a couple of years. Drink 2016-2020.
I found some inconsistency in the Miguel Merino portfolio and unfortunately both samples of Gran Reserva were corked.
