With the 1996 vintage Mikulski has catapulted himself into the top echelon of Meursault's producers. Mikulski's Meursault Genevrieres's gorgeous floral and sweet fruit scents are followed by intensely rich, ripe, and densely layered flavors of roasted peaches, candied white grapes, honey and poached pears in this full-bodied, broad, powerful, highly-concentrated, and oily-textured wine. Verging on being overripe, this wine has excellent focus and brightness due to the vintage's acidity. Projected maturity: 1999-2005.
