The 2007 Matano is composed of 70% Garnacha and 30% Tempranillo sourced from the highest altitude vineyards in Carinena. The wine was aged for two month in French oak. Purple-colored, the aromatics feature pure black cherry and blackberry aromas with no noticeable oak. Supple, ripe, and easy-going, on the palate ripe black fruits and a hint of tannin emerge. The finish is medium long and pure. Drink this crowd-pleaser over the next 3-4 years.
