There are only two barrels (approximately 50 cases) of the 2015 Clayvin Vineyard Pinot Noir, so I'm not sure how useful this review will be to most readers. The wine is an elegant blend of contradictions, showing hints of roses but also mushroomy aromas. Ripe, plummy fruit but also complex hints of black tea. Ample volume in the mouth but also a sense of silky weightlessness. And, of course, there's great persistence on the finish yet no excess extraction.
