More evolved, as well as showing more oak, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 23 months in 60% new and 40% one and two year old barrels. Showing plenty of spice, cedar, tobacco and ripe black currant fruit, with obvious oak, it is medium to full-bodied, open and supple, yet has firm tannin on the finish. The straight Columbia Valley seems to be the more complete wine here, but this should still have close to a decade of longevity.
Ken and Ginger Harrison continue to make classy, balanced and complex wines from their estate located on the eastern side of Walla Walla.
