The 2006 Pinot Noir Winemaker’s Reserve has a similar personality to the two preceding wines but adds greater complexity, richness, and outstanding concentration. Give it 1-2 years to evolve and drink it from 2010 to 2018. One of Oregon’s pioneers, Amity Vineyards and owner/winemaker Myron Redford have been there from the beginning.Tel. This bottling offers a little more complexity than the rest of Amity’s 2006 Pinots, though it still seems quite light and relatively simple, at least for something labeled reserve. Cherry fruit and cola soda are the main flavors, lasting into a moderately long finish. ——P.G.(2/1/2009)—— 87
