With a zesty and crisp mouthfeel, this Pinto Grigio delivers classic aromas of citrus, white peach and white flower. The Toros 2018 Collio Pinot Grigio is a luminous expression to enjoy with butter-dipped crab claws. This vintage also shows some warmer primary notes of Golden Delicious apple and pear at the back. About 10,000 bottles were produced.

The 2017 Collio Pinot Grigio only sees contact with stainless steel, so you get crisply delineated citrus fruit aromas as a result. The heat of the vintage has brought a surge of candied fruit or summer blooming yellow rose on the nose, but the wine flows nicely with balanced aromas nonetheless. Hints of crushed mineral or river stone appear at the back. Specific to the vintage, this wine definitely offers a thick and creamy sense of textural richness. On the other hand, one can't help but notice that all these wines from this vintage seem a little off-center. Only 8,000 bottles were made.

Toros offers a distinctive expression of this popular white grape that is initially hard to decipher. The 2014 Collio Pinot Grigio is lean and watery (this is a common characteristic in this soggy vintage) with slightly smoky tones of dry mineral and crushed oyster shell. With a few vigorous swirls of the glass, it opens to distant aromas of white peach and pear. This Pinot Grigio remains in a neutral gear.

The 2011 Collio Pinot Grigio is an impressive effort especially thanks to the momentum and drive the wine shows on the finish. Stone fruit, melon, dried lemon peel and crushed mineral take part in what is a uniquely complex bouquet (especially considering that this is Pinot Grigio, one of the most overworked grapes on the planet). Plush richness and zesty acidity make for a very lively experience. Drink: 2014-2017. I am happily impressed by Toros. The wines show impeccable aromas and beautiful density in the mouth. The 2010 Pinot Grigio is marked much more by the house style than by varietal expressiveness. Here, too, the fruit is quite broad and expressive.
