The 2021 Estate Chardonnay is a glorious, fine expression of Chardonnay. It's like a needle pintuck in its detail, with all layers compressed and measured within. On the nose is white almond, nectarine, green apple skins, jasmine tea and layers of enoki mushroom and meal. The palate is cinnamon sticks and freshly grated nutmeg, with lovely crushed shell phenolics through the finish. It's refined, elegant and spicy. Gorgeous wine. Matured in a combination of French and Austrian oak for 10 months. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2010 Estate Chardonnay has youthful / primary citrus fruit notes of fresh grapefruit, orange peel and lemon juice over nuances of yeast, crushed almonds and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied with a good concentration of citrus and bready flavors, it has a suggestion of creaminess to the texture and a great acid backbone, finishing long. Delicious now, it should drink to 2015+. Ten Minutes by Tractor does not currently have an American importer.

The 2009 Estate Chardonnay has ripe apricot, white peach, melon and acacia honey aromas with a gentle yeasty undercurrent. The palate is medium bodied with taut, concentrated fruit, high acidity, a good amount of texture and a long stone fruit finish. Drinking now, it should remain good through 2015. Established in 1999, in 2004 this property was acquired by Martin Spedding who has taken an active role in the winemaking and given the whole range a quality injection. The wines are skillfully and naturally crafted at Moorooduc. Production is small at 5-6000 cases per year. With some seriously interesting single vineyard Chardonnays and Pinots already being produced here, this is name to watch. Ten Minutes By Tractor does not currently have a USA importer.
