A barrel sample, the 2018 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard has a pale to medium ruby color and bombastic scents of raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb and pomegranate preserves with accents of blood orange, potpourri, dried flowers, tree bark and amaro. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is bright, lively and intensely flavored with loads of floral nuance, a gentle frame and that classic, bright Talley freshness, finishing on a potpourri note.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard, aged 17 months in 37% new French oak, opens with notions of crushed granite, wild strawberries, fresh raspberries, potpourri and dried herbs with notions of citrus peel and bark. Medium-bodied and very silky, it offers layers of bright fruits, spices and earth with a gentle frame and juicy freshness to lift the long, perfumed finish. Elegant!

The pale to medium ruby colored 2016 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard has sexy scents of woodsmoke, saline, pink peppercorn, rose petals, tangerine and loads of red berries—raspberries, strawberries, dried cranberry and pomegranate—with notions of fir, forest floor and bark. Medium-bodied and satiny, it slowly opens in the mouth to intense, nuanced flavor layers, finely grained and with addicting juiciness, finishing long and perfumed.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard is pale to medium ruby with a nose of bark, cinnamon stick, mushroom and black cherries with a core of sweet red berry preserves and a light framing of baking spices. Light to medium-bodied, broody and earthy in the mouth, it has a sturdy frame of grainy tannins and well-woven freshness, finishing long and spicy.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Rosemary's Vineyard is pale to medium ruby. The nose opens with nutmeg, clove and pipe tobacco over dried currants, raisin cake, sweet spices and loads of red berries nuances plus notes of potpourri and dried flowers. Light to medium-bodied, it’s silky, spicy and intense, with a grainy frame and good freshness, finishing long and broody. This is a touch disjointed at the moment—it may be in an awkward phase, so give it another couple of years before you pop the corks.
