The warm and dry 2020 season here has produced a Cabernet that leads with a splay of savory, ductile tannin in the mouth. No surprises there. The fruit that swarms around it is purple and succulent, without being thick or over-extracted. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is firm, but fine. Nicely done. There's a little flick of the freshness that tails through the finish; clarity resides here. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

2019 was a cool year, and as such, many of the wines—particularly the Cabernets—are highly aromatic, mineral expressions of the variety; this 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception to that. Offering notes of salted blackcurrant, pomegranate, licorice, fennel flower and exotic spice, this is a wonderful wine of poise and line, with beautiful natural acid that curls through the layers of fruit. The tannins are firm but shapely and structure the wine.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (in contrast to the 2017) shows only faint herbal nuances, instead delivering mouthwatering notes of red raspberries and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, it shows greater richness and a lovely silky-textured depth, finishing long, with delicate hints of cocoa powder. It should drink well for a decade.

Hints of sage and bay leaf join bell pepper and cassis on the nose of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon. It's medium to full-bodied, smooth and silky, with a tart, lingering finish. It's a gently tannic red for drinking over the near term.

Still fresh and lively, this 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has herbal notes of bay and sage that add a savory element to its bright red currant flavors. This medium-bodied wine is soft, supple and very drinkable, with just enough dustiness on the finish to make it a viable partner for lamb or beef.
