Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 20% new, the 2009 “Paladin” Pinot Noir has a pale ruby color and aromas of crushed cranberries and red currants with hints of bay leaf, underbrush and lavender. Medium bodied with an ample level of silky tannins, it has refreshing acidity running through the vibrant red berry flavors and providing lift to the long finish.
