The 2009 Sharktooth Shiraz displays a deep garnet-purple color and an intense nose of warm mulberries, black plum compote and blackberry tart with touches of cedar, nuts, red roses and mocha. Concentrated and full bodied on the palate, it is densely packed with dark berry, nut and coffee flavor with the oak still showing. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Sharktooth Shiraz has pronounced notes of warm cassis, black plums and blueberry preserves with hints of toasty cedar, violets and fertile loam. Generously fruited and full bodied, it is well structured with a medium-high level of acid and medium-firm fine-grained tannins, finishing with lingering notes of toast, anise and yeast extract.
