The current fashion among Portuguese winemakers is to add Cabernet Sauvignon to Touriga Nacional. In the case of this wine, the Cabernet adds some bite as well as spice, giving the Touriga the chance to show its firm, dark tannins and juicy blackberry fruit flavors. It’s a wine that needs aging, 2–3 years.——R.V.(11/1/2008)—— 89
