A blend of 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon was fermented and matured in French oak barriques, 27% new, for 9 months. It offers intense notes of fresh grapefruit, white peaches and under-ripe pears over cedar, lanolin and lemongrass. Light to medium bodied, it has a very appealing silkiness to the texture with refreshing acid cutting through the concentrated flavors and finishing long with notes of hay, yeast and lemongrass. Delicious now, it has the stuffing for some aging capacity and should easily drink to 2015+. Peccavi does not currently have a USA importer but is exported to Malaysia, Singapore, UK, Germany, Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium and Denmark.
