The 2010 Reserva de la Propietat is 70% Xarello, 20% Macabeo and10% Parellada that matured for at least 60 months in contact with the lees (the disgorgement date is printed in the back labels), and it is offered as a Brut Nature. It mixes aromas of yeasts with white fruit and flowers and a hint of lemon. The palate shows abundant bubbles and balanced acidity. Subtle and elegant, if not terribly complex. 5,000 bottles.

The 2009 Reserva de la Propietat, mostly Xarello combined with 20% Macabeo and 10% Parellada, is a Brut Nature that matured in bottles with the lees for 60 months. There are abundant but subtle toasty and yeasty notes over a core of clean white fruit and some balsamic aromas. It is still quite fresh for the long aging it had. The palate is quite light, with fine bubbles and balanced acidity. 5,000 bottles.

The 2008 Reserva de la Propietat is a sparkling sold with the Cava back label whose blend is 70% Xarello, 20% Macabeo and 10% Parellada from old vineyards planted in calcareous soils, which aged in bottle for at least 48 months. It has a bright, deep-yellow color and a complex nose of baked apple pie, yeasts, bread dough, camphor, smoke and chalk, a lively palate with sharp acidity, pungent flavors and a creamy texture, with abundant, small bubbles. This was a big, unexpected surprise, as I looked for the wines for tasting after drinking some in a restaurant. Drink now-2017. Oriol Rosell is a small family winery created in 1984 around their 80 hectares of vineyards. They produce both Cava and still Penedes wines. 350,000 bottles are produced annually.
