The 2010 Gewurztraminer gives a very floral nose with notes of rose petals, scented soap and potpourri plus some Turkish delight. Medium-full bodied and rich in the mouth, it has a refreshing backbone of crisp acidity and a long, slightly phenolic finish. Drinking now, it should remain fresh through 2013. Farmgate is a new range (started 2 years ago) of Hawke’s Bay wines produced by Ngatawara estate.
