Soft, with good acidity. Subtle, with very nice balance, this is unusual wine with a classy, long finish.

The 2007 Foloi is a blend of Roditis (85%) and Viognier. It is light and bright, a bit delicate, but simply charming, a wine that tastes delicious and has a crisp, mouthwatering finish. There is a certain ethereal quality to this that will make it a pleasure to drink any time, as long as it is young and fresh, but it will not hold up to challenging foods. The finish is more persistent than you might expect given the delicacy in the mid-palate. The whole here is greater than the sum of its parts, and it is hard to resist. Roditis, a Greek varietal best known for its use in the original Greek tragedy, Retsina, is the predominant varietal in the 2000 Foloi. This superb value displays floral and smoky white fruit aromas. Light to medium-bodied and possessing a soft texture, it is a delicate, juicy, elegant, and refreshing wine. Loads of well-detailed citrus fruits and candied almonds can be found throughout its expressive character. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.
