One of the best values of the Capitain portfolio is their Ladoix Les Micaudes, made from 35-year-old vines. It displays excellent ripeness, medium body, and oodles of black cherry fruit. I found Roger Capitain's 1988s all delicious to drink. His wines tend to be relatively heady, supple, and deliciously fruity.

The Ladoix Les Micaudes is excellent. It is richly fruity, round, and bursting with aromas of black cherries and strawberries. It is supple, silky, and smooth, and should be consumed by 1994-1995.
