Bernard's 2016 Vacqueyras features subtle garrigue and demure red-fruit aromas on the nose, followed by a full-bodied wine with ample tannins and hints of clove and allspice. It's firm yet ripe, with a long finish. Give it a year in the cellar and then it should drink well for 5 years after that.

Slightly more ripe, textured and full-bodied than the Gigondas, the 2015 Vacqueyras offers classic garrigue, peppery herbs and darker berry fruits in its rounded, layered personality.

The 2014 Vacqueyras should also be a solid value and it has plenty of charm and upfront fruit, as well as good acidity.

The 2013 Vacqueyras is another charmer from this estate. Medium-bodied, lively and easy drinking, it offers plenty of garrigue, pepper, toasted spice and raspberry nuances in a Provencal, quaffable style. It’s perfect for mid-week drinking over the coming 3-4 years.
