The 2020 Sticks and Stones is made up of 77% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 3% Mourvèdre. It has a medium ruby-purple color and alluring aromas of cranberry sauce, Earl Grey tea, tobacco leaves, blood orange and aniseed. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and juicy with approachable, spicy fruits and a long, layered finish.

The 2019 Sticks and Stones is a blend of 71% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 4% Graciano and 3% Mourvèdre. Pale ruby-purple, it has bright red and blue berries on the nose with notes of dark spices, fallen leaves and dried flowers. The medium-bodied palate is grainy and super fresh, with pure, spicy flavors and a long, uplifted finish.

Blended of 68% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and 5% Cinsault, the 2015 Sticks and Stones has a medium garnet-purple color and is scented of kirsch, red currant jelly and dried mulberries with hints of baking spices, potpourri and dusty earth, plus a waft of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with spicy red fruit preserves and earthy layers, supported by soft, velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long.

The transparent, medium ruby colored 2014 Sticks and Stones (71% Grenache, 12% Syrah and the rest Cinsault and Mourvedre) dishes out lots of framboise and strawberry intermixed with notions of spice and dried flowers. Full-bodied, sexy and seamless, with fine tannin, it's another terrific wine from Matt that's just about impossible to resist. Perfume, finesse, elegance and a core of Cali fruit are the buzz words here.
